Julie Platner is an award-winning journalist, director, producer, and a member of the International Cinematographers Guild. Her long-form reporting on American white nationalists was turned into a season-opening Lesley Stahl segment for CBS’s “60 Minutes” in 2012, where she was featured in an “Overtime” interview to discuss her reporting. She has worked on numerous television series and films, including NBC’s The Blacklist and HBO’s Flight of the Concords. As a journalist, she has produced, photographed, and reported on stories that have been featured on the front pages of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and leading international magazines. Additionally, her photographs are housed in the permanent collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
